Janeen Throckmorton

Principal

Ms. Throckmorton has lived in Boulder City since July, 2019. She is originally from Iowa, where she taught for 20 years in Des Moines Public Schools.

She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, with a math endorsement from Simpson College. She earned her Master’s degree in Collaborative Learning and Teaching from Graceland University.

She taught at GCA for 3 years before becoming principal. She is a proud mom of one son.

When she isn’t teaching, she likes hanging out with her son, swimming, walking, and meeting new people.

Debbi Carmichael

Office Manager/PE Teacher

Debbi moved to Boulder City around 5 years ago and fell in love with the community.

Debbi attended college in Walnut, California, studying business and musical theater. She served on the board of directors at several California theater boards and directed many children’s theatrical productions.

She reads or watches figure skating when not hiking with her son, Noah. Debbi enjoys working on her fitness and has a great love of animals.

Kassidy Black

Preschool Teacher

Ms. Kassidy has lived in Boulder City almost 27 years. Graduating from Boulder City High School in 2007, she is currently pursuing an associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education through Post University online program.

She has worked in childcare 6 years and loves teaching young children the greatness of God ‘s love. Her younger sister is part of GCA alumni, which she attended from kindergarten to 6th grade.

When not at school, she enjoys spending time with her two young daughters & fiancé, warm weather, and has two ball pythons, Sally and Jack.

Peggy Sileo

Kindergarten Teacher

Mrs. Sileo has a B.A. from the University of Northern Iowa in Early Childhood/Elementary Education with a Literacy Endorsement.

She taught for five years in public and private schools, prior to being a stay at home mom. For the past 12 years she has substituted in Iowa and Clark County in Iowa and Clark County in a variety of settings. Mrs. Sileo began teaching at Grace in 2018 and has lived in Boulder City since 2013. 

Peggy has lived in Boulder City for the past eleven years, with her husband Jason and their 3 children. She enjoys camping and knitting. 

Christine Stewart

First/Second Grade Teacher

Mrs. Stewart received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University and this is her fifth year at Grace Christian Academy.

She and her husband and four children have moved all around the beautiful southwest and settled in Boulder City ten years ago. Teaching and sharing about God’s great love for His children has been a passion of hers for many years.

When not at school, she can be found snuggled up with a good book, cooking, or spending time with her family and new grandbaby. 

Sandi Piche

Upper Elementary Teacher

Ms. Piche is a proud graduate of Boulder City High School and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. With over 25 years of teaching experience, she brings both wisdom and passion to the classroom. 

She previously taught at Grace Christian Academy and is grateful to have returned – drawn by her love of God and her commitment to teaching the students who will one day shape our future.

Ms. Piche lives in Boulder City. She loves spending time with her two daughters and her grandchildren. Ms. Piche loves traveling and Florida is one of her favorite places. 

Debra Dennill

Science & Art Teacher

Mrs. Dennill is a Certified Montessori Teacher with 20 years of Early Childhood Education experience.

She joined Grace Christian Academy in 2021 as a Pre-K Teacher and is presently our Science and Art Teacher.

Debra and her husband have 2 adult children, and one granddaughter. When not working with her students, Ms. Dennill enjoys cooking, reading and going to the gym.

Andrea Robinson

Librarian

Mrs. Robinson has lived in the Las Vegas/Henderson area for  25 years. She is originally from Ohio.

She joined the Air Force when she was 18 and was active duty for more than 8 years. She has an Associates Degree in Electronics from CCAF, with teaching being one of her spiritual gifts.

She homeschooled all 5 of her children, from birth – 12th grade. She has taught Sunday school and AWANA for close to 20 years, she loves kids, books, and especially the color purple!

Her son-in-law, is a Boulder City native & through him she has come to love & appreciate the small, tight-knit community feeling of Boulder City.
