Curriculum

GCA offers a Christian-centered challenging curriculum to students Pre-Kindergarten through sixth grade with sources including Abeka Book, Bob Jones Press, and ACSI. These curricula meet educational standards for the State of Nevada.

As a Christian-centered school, our children start their day with our morning ceremony which includes a pledge to the American and Christian flags, followed by singing praise songs, and prayer in chapel every morning. This prepares them to embrace their day with joyous spirits and open hearts and minds!

With the advantage of small class sizes, GCA teachers work diligently to ensure that each child is challenged academically. Our students are taught the following subjects: Bible, English, History, Science, Health, and Mathematics with an emphasis on using technology integration in the classrooms. Students and teachers utilize iPads and Apple TVs to enhance the learning environment.

Cursive writing is also an integral part of our students’ curriculum from second through sixth grade. Studies show that cursive writing is an important tool for cognitive development that aids the brain in the thinking process of reading and writing.

Throughout the year, our students participate and place in local competitions such as ACSI’s Speech Meet and Spelling Bee

In addition, we offer Art, Technology, and PE classes.
